American Dream Project
WHAT IS THE AMERICAN DREAM PROJECT?
The American Dream Project was founded because, as a society and as individuals, we have reached a time of change.
But social change does not happen over night. It follows a specific process. What happens is always the same. First, the status quo is unsustainable. Our old assumptions are not working and confidence in having a good life recedes to fewer and fewer people. Second, social change ignites when enough people become discontent with the status quo. We reach a crisis point. A point of inflection. We can either go up to a higher level of equilibrium, which produces a better life for more people–think of it as life, liberty and happiness at a higher level–or we can spiral downward, creating more suffering. We cannot let ourselves get caught in the downward spiral of the status quo. There are tens of millions of us whose dreams are bigger than the box where today’s cultural and political ideas are trapped. The American Dream Project is YOURS!
- It does not promote a single ideology, political viewpoint, or economic scheme.
- It is not Right wing or Left wing.
- It opposes greed, self-interest, deception, and incompetence - whether they are found in Democrats or Republicans, liberals or conservatives, labor or management, men or women, blacks or whites.
- It promotes wisdom, common sense, responsibility, compassion, human dignity, fairness and justice.
- It seeks new solutions to dramatically advance the real American Dream. The Dream that you harbor in your heart, right now.
JOIN THE 4TH AMERICAN REVOLUTION!
Is this the best we can do?
Most of us don’t think so.
Nearly 90% of Americans say they are very concerned about our future quality of life, the economy, the environment, and the world we are leaving our children. Our founders fought to create a nation of laws, institutions and public policies that promote the American Dream…the most opportunity and least suffering for the most people. Lately, we’ve failed.
Confidence in leadership of all institutions is at a 70 year low. This is not the first time. In fact, since our 1st American Revolution, about every 70 years or so, Americans have wrestled with revolutionizing society, our assumptions, and our limitations to pursue our original ideals. Every time this has happened, the energy for change has come from passionate citizens, teachers, parents, small and large business leaders, philanthropists, and others who ignite new ideas and solutions through a rising tide of individual efforts that literally change the future. That’s what’s happening today. It’s happening in every city, town and community. It’s inspiring and amazing! It’s everywhere! It’s the 4th American Revolution!
